Start your Day with a Routine
Start your day off right! Having a morning routine full of positive healthy habits can make your day flow so much better, leading to better mental processing, a better attitude, and healthier food choices. Use these tips to help start up your engine!
4 Steps that will have you feeling refreshed every morning:
6 second Breathing
Take 3 seconds to breathe in a slow, deep, conscious breath of air filling your lungs. Hold for 3 seconds. Take the next 3 seconds to exhale slowly releasing tension . Repeat 3 times, closing your eyes to center your mind, body and spirit. This breathing exercise allows you to begin the day with a clear mind granting a free canvas where you can prioritize your responsibilities for the day. Its about intentionally filtering your thoughts to bring positivity and productivity to your day.
Be Thankful
Tune into your spiritual side. Life is a blessing and you’ve awakened to a new day! BE THANKFUL. You may not be exactly where you want to be in life but be grateful for your present. Your life matters, you are favored, and TODAY will be a great day for you. Reflect on your goals and aspirations and speak your desires aloud.
Stretch
Give your limbs a good stretch! Extend your arms above your head and reach as far as you can. Next, bend at the waist to bring your hands as close as they can get to your toes. Repeat 3 times. Roll your shoulders backwards 3 times and then foreword 3 times. Remember to take conscious breathes in through the nose and out through the mouth. Next, wake those neck muscles up by rolling the neck counter clockwise 3 times and then clockwise 3 times. Feel free to add in any additional stretches' to warm up your body.
Hydrate
Its a good idea to keep some water close by. You want to start your day off with at least 6 oz of water to fuel up your body and start the day refreshed. Of course throughout the day water should be your primary drink of choice. Drinking water first thing in the morning can be a great way the flush toxins, aid in digestion, and move your morning bowels. Room temperature water is best. Just fill your favorite water bottle and sit it by your bed the night before for easy reach the next day.
Following these steps will help you feel renewed and ready to claim the success that you are destined to achieve. Remember YOU are great, YOU are beautiful, YOU have something to offer the world, and YOU are loved. Take this and conquer the day!
